The Frenchmen character was great, I started out thinking, "Don't trust this guy. To having respect for his ability to think under high stakes pressure. When this show aired I was 3 years old. And only watched a few re-run episodes. But now all these years later I get to watch them as a adult for the first time. It was a adult show. A good one.

And Tellys brother George was also on Combat in the episode "Counter Punch". Season 2 Episode 22. He played a cook who became a a soldier in Saunders squad One of the few episodes I watched with Hanley and no Saunders

I remember these combat movies, when I was younger it was the 2nd to the last that was broadcast late night the last was the rat patrol I had to secretly watch them at night so not to get in trouble for being up to late,they all have a very good story line and a war that had to be fought WE don't have movies of this quality anymore when they try to tell what to think do and act, I will never comply, thank GOD to all that fought to end the scorn of ethnic cleansing, history has a way of repeating itself, I do not comply. My father was WW2 and said never again and explained a lot of these movies to me when I was young and later joined the military, GOD BLESS AMERICA AND ALL THE ALIES THAT FOUGHT IN IT.

that's how i like my WW II stories told - just one color, no female entanglement, no 'but there were ........ in the Army'. Ah, but for the good old days, when a six-year-old could just curl up in front of the TV and blow away Jerries. The world was a simpler place.

When I was seven years old I had a replica M1 Garand rifle...me and my friends would spend summer trapezing through the woods on base looking looking for pretend NAZIS to combat ....this was my favorite show,..we had a ton of army surplus gear....GOD I loved this show....to a seven years old boy it was must see TV !!!!!

I used to watch this show as a kid in the '60s and loved it! Sadly, the only surviving member of the cast is Conlan Carter who played 'Doc' now aged 90.

A simple plot yet so suspenseful! I bet the inspired scriptwriters summed their plot up in 2 sentences! Action packed at the end. What an adrenaline rush! It’s stories like these viewers rave about to their friends recommending to watch this particular episode.
